Interior Design: Creating Homes That Heal

The journey for every home I design begins with listening, not just to my clients' words, but to their memories, their emotions, their essence.
I believe that healing design isn't about rules or trends; it's about creating a deeply personal sanctuary, one that feels like a soft return to self.

A Poetic Sanctuary

One of the spaces I am currently working on is a poetic sanctuary for a woman who writes.
She chose a mural for the fireplace wall, a watercolor dreamscape of treetops, puppies, and cornflowers. It is not just art; it is emotion. Joy. Nostalgia. Playfulness.

Transforming Details with Joy

Today, we visited a tile showroom together and had the most joyful experience
creating the design for the fireplace surround. We decided to transform the current rectangular opening into a beautiful arch, giving the wall a softer, more inviting feel.

Designing a Tile Mosaic

Together, we designed a custom mosaic an artful composition of red poppies, blue cornflowers, and grasses woven together into the shape of the arch itself.
It was a moment of inspiration, full of laughter, creativity, and heart.
This surround will not only hold the warmth of a fire, but it will also hold a memory of its creative process.

Colors That Support

The soft cornflower blue from the mural will carry into the plush swivel chairs my client loves.
The orangey-reds and soft greens will appear through the rug, a delightful palette that feels like wildflowers underfoot.

A Chandelier in Bloom

Above her desk, the chandelier blooms with sculpted metal tulip petals and beautifully shaped leaves, casting light that dances like a garden in bloom.
Each element intertwines like a living vine, color, texture, memory, wrapping her space in gentle coherence.

The True Meaning of Healing Design

But what makes it healing isn’t just beauty; it’s the feeling.
Her desk is curved - welcoming. The chair - supportive. The light - warm.
The room invites her in, it says: “It is your space. You can write. You can dream.”

Designing from the Heart

This space is still in its design phase, just beginning its transformation.
But already, it carries the promise of healing.

This is what we were inspired to create together. We don’t repeat styles. We don’t copy and paste. We discover who you are, what you love, how you long to feel, design your space from that knowing. Every space becomes its own living poem.
